The process is pretty simple: put down your dropcloth or other floor protection (be sure you're covering the baseboard, if you have any), run the perforator over the walls to open up the wallpaper, spray on your glue dissolver, and then wait for it to start taking effect - depending on the glue and the remover you're using, this will probably take around 30 minutes. You can buy some glue dissolver at your hardware store, or simply mix together some warm water and vinegar (about 1 cup of vinegar to a medium-sized bucket of water) to save yourself a few bucks.



Once 30 minutes has passed, try to grab a corner of the wallpaper and pull, VERY gently - you don't want to rip the paper. If you've done things right (and the person who put up the wallpaper did things right), you should be able to peel the wallpaper off the wall in almost a single piece. Sadly, this doesn't always happen, especially if the wallpaper is getting ancient. If your wallpaper still wont come off, try applying more glue solvent and wait a few more minutes and try again. If that still doesn't work, then try using a soft rubber scraper (make sure that you don't damage the drywall, or your simple project will have gotten a great deal more complicated!
